Welcome!
Our goal with On Course Equestrian Services LLC is to provide everyone the ability to have fun and learn about horses in a positive and safe environment.
Please note, this farm is run with Christian guidelines. No one is perfect but the main rulebook we strive to follow at this farm is the Holy Bible.
Ephesians 4:8-13 This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, he led captives in His train and gave gifts to men.” What does “He ascended” mean except that He also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe. It was He who gave some to be apostle, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
We are so blessed that God has been able to use us for His kingdom right here in Harford County.
Below are some safety rules set in place for the well-being of the farm, the animals, and all of us. Some of these are common sense and help reduce our operating costs, others are for the appearance of the farm and respect for the property.
Rules
- No smoking! Unless in your own vehicles – take the butts with you please.
- Helmets are to be worn at all times when mounted. NO EXCEPTIONS!
- Please stay out of hayloft unless given permission. There are open floors and someone could fall through.
- You must have proper footwear when around horses. No open toed shoes/sandals.
- No running or screaming as this can spook horses.
- No umbrellas – horses freak out!
- Please park in line with other vehicles. We need to utilize the small parking space we have.
- Do not climb on/over gates or fences.
- Please clean up after you and your horse: manure, hair, paper, trash etc.
- Do not use anyone else’s supplies, tack, etc. without permission.
- Do not feed any hay or grain unless instructed to do so.
- Do not throw hay from hayloft – hay is expensive.
- Horses should be washed off using buckets and sponges as it saves more water than using a hose.
- If you have any problems with anyone please notify Leigh of the situation.
- Make sure all gates are chained shut so we don’t have any wandering horses.
- Make sure all water is turned off before you leave!
- If you have children that aren’t riding, please keep them with you at all times. We are not responsible for your child and the horses are sometimes unpredictable.
- Please watch for cats and dogs. That includes them trying to go home with you – check your vehicles inside and out before leaving.
- Please note that this farm is run with Christian guidelines and we ask that you please watch your language – this includes taking the Lord’s name in vain.
Please remember there are young children that spend time at the farm. We are concerned about safety, morals, and providing a positive environment for everyone here.
